Star Wars

So here’s my video. My favorite parts are Oli singing the theme song, Max lying on the floor and fighting with Grandma Schlegel, and Scott taking no prisoners throughout. Watch out for Tru, he’s got a wicked spin attack.

Star Wars is big in our house right now. The kids love the original three movies. They’ve beaten but continue to play both Lego Star Wars games for PS2. They are constantly pretending to be using the force; mostly on me. They rotate through which character they’re going to be for Halloween (yes, they’re already planning for it). It’s pretty much always on their minds. It doesn’t help that Scott bought each of us our own lightsabers. Scott and I have red ones which in the movies mean the Dark Side, but I don’t really see it that way. Strict? Yes. Evil? No. It is always us against them though. Their favorite game is for Scott to hide and then when they find him they battle to the death.

I love Grandma Schelgel’s enthusiastic swinging of the lightsaber!
I CANNOT believe how big your boys are Alisa!
Do you think you are done? Or are you going to try for a girl? :)

As far as we’re concerned we’re done. We recognize that little surprises show up all the time though, so we try to keep ready for anything. I have no idea what I would do if we had a girl. My luck she’d turn out girlie and we’d have nothing in common and then she’d write to Oprah to get me a makeover which I would of course take and then get all dolled up and come home and slip my jeans and Harry Potter/Twilight shirts back on and then she’d hate me. I’m sure it would work out just fine, but that’s how I always see it playing out. :)

Okay, first off looooove the new blog! Beautiful. Sweet work Schlegels. Also, I am totally digging this family pastime. I really like that Scott can fight off all the boys without breaking a sweat and even the grandparents get in on the action…very cool.
