Alisa, this is so great! It’s so nice to hear how marriage is surviving in spite of hard times when it’s so easy to find marriages failing. You two are a great example of making life good in spite of difficulty. Thanks for sharing and happy (late) anniversary!!

Thanks for sharing some very personal feelings. One wish that a parent has for their child is that they could wavy a magic wand and take away every dissapointment, hurt,
and unhappiness. Unfortunately I can’t make that wish come true. Another big wish is that your son or daughter will marry someone that loves their child as much as they do and that their marriage relationship will be based on respect, understanding and love. You have made that wish come true. I love you for that. You are awesome. Hey, the next nine years have to be easier, right!

Congratulations on 9 years!! Wow. That is awesome. Yes, I am in denial that many years has gone by as well. Chris and I will be celebrating our 9th in January. Crazy huh? I still feel 22, just trapped in a 30-something body that’s had a few kids….trying to claw my way back out of it. LOL
What a lovely post. I love how you said your husband is custome made for you. That is a brillant analogy. Perfect fit! Love it. Congrats!

Geez Alisan, that just about made me cry. Hope Scott loves it And great song choice!! Joel and I used to sing that duet with Ewan and Nicole (Elephant Love Medley) to each other all the time. Good times…
