Monterey Bay Aquarium 12/30/08

You guys probably already know this but the aquarium is one of my favorite places to go. We had a season pass a few years back before Max started school and I would take the kids every two weeks or so and I absolutely loved it. Scott’s cousin and his family were down after Christmas so we headed down to the aquarium for the day. It was so much fun but it was pretty crowded so our family was totally wiped out by the time we got home. Thanks Gary and Elaine for dinner. Scott also bought me fudge at one of the shops on Cannery Row. Just one more reason to love him.
Have you guys been to the aquarium? Do you love it?

I LOVE LOVE the aquarium! i miss it, i miss the large orcas on the ceiling! killer whales are my fav! if they had them at the aquarium i would Live there!!! i havent been for years! have they changed it around much?

They added a new section over by the big tank downstairs with otters. It’s pretty darn cute. One night Scott and I were there and the otters were totally frisky. It was great.

We just went on Saturday! Unfortunately the day was tainted by someone stealing Thomas’s beanie baby teddy bear (it was military issue and given him by a great-uncle) that he insisted on bringing along…no more toys in public places for us! But I will agree, Monterey’s Cannery Row and the Aquarium is a very fun place, especially for families!

We have passes there too. So fun.
We like to stop by “Candy Land” on Cannery Row to get salt water taffy and other goodies. ( Its near the Bubba Gump I think)
The Jelly fish are still my favorite. They are just so weird. But yeah, those busy days are HARD on the kids when we visit. (Us too!)
My kids LOVE shrimp, so that is our excuse to eat at one of the many seafood restaurants there before we head home.
Your boys are so cute! They look like they are having a blast.
